Welcome to Charter Oak High School

Dear Charter Oak Families,

I hope this message finds you enjoying a restful and joy-filled summer. It is with great excitement and sincere gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Charter Oak High School. I am honored to join a community so deeply rooted in excellence, pride, and tradition.

At Charter Oak, we are committed to student success in every sense. While academic achievement remains a top priority, we know that a positive high school experience is directly tied to student growth and long-term success. Whether our students are preparing for college, career, or service, we want them to look back on their time at COHS with pride, joy, and unforgettable memories.

Like the mighty oak that symbolizes our school, Charter Oak stands tall because of the strength of its roots: our shared history, community spirit, and enduring values. For some of us, those roots run deep, passed down through generations of family and alumni. For others, this year marks the beginning of a new chapter, full of opportunity and growth. No matter where each student begins, we are committed to growing together and lifting each other up.
As we help our students navigate their futures, we understand that options matter. Our teens are still discovering their passions, exploring new paths, and shaping who they want to become. We are here to provide both the rigor that prepares them and the joy that fuels them. Our vision is for every Charger to find the right balance between challenge and celebration, tradition and innovation, growth and belonging.

So as summer winds down, I encourage everyone to rest up, recharge, and get ready because the 2025–26 school year promises to be one of connection, opportunity, and inspiration.
I can’t wait to meet you, work with you, and rise with you.

Here’s to a tremendous year ahead at Charter Oak High School!

Warmly,
Dr. Robin Perez
